MEMORIES OF GRAYSHOTT SPA
An exhibition by Jason Saunders
A collection of limited edition prints that capture the beauty of Grayshott Spa and the glorious surrounding countryside.
Memories of Grayshott Spa, celebrates Grayshott Spa in a unique fine art photographic exhibition, following its closure in November 2020, after 55 years of service to the local community and guests, with a fascinating history that dates back to 1867.
Grayshott Spa, formerly known as Grayshott Hall, was originally the home to Lord Alfred Tennyson in 1867, which gave him reference and inspiration whilst surrounded by 700 acres of glorious countryside. It was later renovated and extended to become one of the UK’s first spa hotels in 1964. Guests included Hollywood stars, such as Sir Roger Moore who was famous for hosting pool parties and then apologising to fellow guest for making too much noise.
“It has been a passionate project of mine for many years, collecting and creating photographs that capture the essence of what this magical place meant to so many” said, Jason Saunders, a local photographer and artist who was a member at Grayshott Spa for 15 years.
The exhibition offers limited edition prints of this magical place.
Jason has given each image its own Tennyson quote that captures an emotive connection.
Memories of Grayshott Spa will be available to view from Friday 29th October until 31st December 2021 at the Applegarth Farm, Headley Road, Grayshott, Hampshire GU26 6JL.
